Day 1 – Welcome to the Jungle
- Arrive at Pulpally, Wayanad District, Kerala by noon
- Check in to your UcL Stay. Freshen up to a sumptuous lunch
- Drive to the Kabini River and ferry across to Kuruvadweep atop the native bamboo rafts. Walk through the streams and cluster of little islands in a protected river delta. Click rare forms of flora and fauna, migratory birds in this uninhabited idyllic place
- Reach the nearby village to catch a performance of tribal music/dance
- Moonlight walk through the forest alongside a stream
- Dinner is usually served on the front porch or under a canopy in the garden
Day 2 – All along the Watchtower
- Early breakfast and 50 km ride to Chembra Peak Watchtower
- Start trekking to the highest point in Wayanad; Chembra Peak at 2,100 m
- Take a break at a heart-shaped lake on the way. Witness the beauty of the hills and valleys of Wayanad from the mountain top. Trek back down to starting point
- *Lunch at a local eatery
- On your way back, stop by at a reservoir to take in the sights
- Relax/shower/change before Dinner at your UcL Stay
- Campfire for you at night
Day 3 – Animals
- Early morning (5:30 a.m.) drive to Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary; the habitat of deer, boar, mongoose, jungle cats, bison, panther and elephant
- Breakfast at your UcL Stay
- Trip ends
